Luz Corona

Luz Corona is a seasoned marketing communications professional and a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

Currently serving as the Community Editor at Adweek, Luz oversees Adweek’s Voice section, the opinion column featuring perspectives from advertisers, marketers, influencers, and tech professionals. In her role, she writes editorial features on leaders and marketing campaigns that are critical in advancing towards a more inclusive industry. Additionally, she moderates interviews and panels, and co-hosts the flagship podcast, “Yeah, That’s Probably an Ad.”

Her journey in marketing communications began on the media agency side at UM Worldwide, multiple custom content programs for Coca-Cola brands, demonstrating expertise in driving brand relevance among diverse multi-ethnic audiences. Prior to UM Worldwide, Luz gained experience at PHD in digital investment, overseeing digital media plans for clients like Foot Locker Inc. and Havaianas. She also held roles at ZenithOptimedia Group, OMD USA and commenced her career as a Marketing Assistant at NY Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

Luz holds a Master of Professional Studies in Branding and Integrated Communications from The City College of New York, where she further honed her skills after completing a BA in Political Science at the University at Albany, SUNY.
