As you prepare to market your book, your most important asset is your network of established relationships. This session will help you outline a plan for identifying the people from your life who may be able to contribute to your book marketing efforts. Becky will walk you through a system she uses with her clients to use both one to one outreach and one to many messaging throughout your book launch campaign to make it easy, fun, and exciting for people to support your launch. She’ll help you overcome any resistance you might have for asking people to help you and she’ll outline best practices for staying in touch with your network over time.

Weaving Influence is a full service digital marketing/publicity agency with a specialty in working with business consultants, speakers, and authors to market their services and books. Since launching eight years ago, Weaving Influence has helped clients launch more than 130 books.

Becky Robinson

Becky Robinson has lived in the Midwest all of her adult life. She grew up as an Army brat and doesn’t have a typical hometown to claim.

Becky graduated from Miami University (Ohio) in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing. She received her MA in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College Graduate School in 1994 (Wheaton, IL).

In the early part of her career, she worked for a nonprofit and helped her husband start and lead a church. Becky left full-time work in 2001 to stay home with her kids, homeschooling while bringing together women for several iterations of a home-school co-op, starting with preschool and growing in complexity as their children grew.

Becky founded Weaving Influence in 2011. In 2012, because of the growth of her business, her staff grew to a core employee team of twelve people, along with several subcontractors. In developing and growing her business, her vision has been to create meaningful and flexible opportunities for her team.
