Jessica Norwood

Jessica Norwood, an esteemed author, entrepreneur, investor, artist, and philanthropist, gained recognition as one of Essence Magazine’s “50 Entrepreneurs to Watch.” As the CEO of RUNWAY, she leads a formidable team supporting Black founders with startup capital and ongoing guidance. A financial activist, she holds prestigious fellowships, including the Nathan Cummings Foundation Fellowship and the Center for Economic Democracy fellowship. Jessica, a former board member of the Highlander Research and Education Center, is deeply involved in restorative economies and Black entrepreneurship. Her work has been featured in NPR, Bloomberg Television, Essence Magazine, Fast Company, and more. Currently residing in Kingston, Jamaica, Jessica is the author of Believe-in-You Money and co-hosts the podcast “Road to Repair,” navigating the journey toward justice, healing, and liberation from a business-as-usual economy.
