Financial Assistance

To help keep our Authors Retreat open to our diverse community, BK Authors has established a financial assistance program to reduce financial need as a barrier to attendance.

The funding program is the Ellen Augustine Scholarship Fund. (For more information on Ellen’s legacy, please click HERE to read a newsletter item about her).

Funding for this program is limited and open to Berrett-Koehler Authors only.  Please request only the minimal level of assistance required for you to attend the retreat.

Assistance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis once the application date and time is announced.  You will be notified by within one week if your application was received in time to be funded.  Applicants receive the full amount of assistance requested. A waiting list will be created for those whose applications arrive after the program funds have been allocated.

If you receive notification that your request for assistance was granted, you have two weeks to register and pay the balance of the retreat fee if applicable.  If we fail to receive your registration and payment within two weeks of notification, the funds will be released to the next person on the waiting list.
